How It All Started
Our parents moved to Truckee from Sonoma County in the 1970's. Inspired by John Denver's records about snow covered mountains, they packed up their bags and set off for the Sierras, hoping to get a taste of that carefree mountain lifestyle. We were then lucky enough to be born and raised there. We know Truckee has changed a lot since then, but when we wear these hats, it still feels like the good ol' days.
Brother Sister Team
Way back in 2017 our older brother came home with a big box of hats that belonged to our Farfar. As we began going through them, one of them stuck out to us right away. It was a ragged old corduroy hat with a faded patch that read "Truckee." We both immediately knew we had to re-create the hat, it was really something special.
We got to work right away designing the new Truckee hat. We wanted to keep the nostalgic feeling of the old hat while bringing some freshness to the patch. The Truckee Hat was born.
